Growkeh · Grow your kehracter. Then eat it.

A 72-hour body,
a life that carries on: tiny foods

Growkeh food bodies live for up to 72 hours: three days. If you eat one in that time, memories of its past life can carry over to the next one. If it rots or gets tossed, that’s the end of it. In this world, the Growkeh are the main characters. You? You’re the sub-character.

72 Hours

Life can continue after the food body’s three days

A single individual’s food-body stage can last up to 72 hours: three days. If eaten by a human sub-character within that time, the character moves into the host and continues with the same Character ID, Individual ID (I), and memories. Being eaten does not create a new individual. An independent life made later from the same recipe receives a new Individual ID, and the same recipe alone does not continue the same character’s life.

If eaten by a human sub-character within 72 hours, the food body’s time ends and life inside the host begins.

  4. Transition or endBeing eaten continues life in a host; rotting or being discarded ends this life
  5. Life LogKeeps how they lived, not a score

The 72 hours are the lifespan of a food-body individual in the story. They are not a real food’s storage time or use-by date. Nor do they define the host human’s lifespan or the total length of the character’s continuing life. We’ll share soon how this time will flow in the game.

Recipe GENOM

The recipe is the blueprint. The individual number is the birth record.

A character's recipe blueprint is called GENOM. It writes down, on eight axes, what the character is made of, in what proportions and how. For example: Croquette clan, potato base, cheese filling.

Recipe (GENOM)

Prototype
Which clan and which recipe the character is made from.
Character ID
One identity that remains the same after moving into a host. It refers to the flow of memories and life linked to GENOM.
Individual ID (I)
Records one unique life that begins in a food body. It keeps the same I after moving into a host, and that I is never issued again to another life.
Food body · 72 hoursBorn with a unique Character ID and Individual ID (I), it builds choices and relationships.
Eaten by a humanThe human sub-character becomes the host, and the food body’s time ends.
The character continuesIt keeps the same Character ID and Individual ID (I), continuing its memories and life inside the host through GENOM.

Being eaten is not the end, but a transition to a host

Eaten by a human
If eaten by a human sub-character within 72 hours, the character extends its life with that person as its host. Its Character ID and Individual ID (I) remain the same, and its memories continue through GENOM.
Rotted
No host transition occurs, and the life of this food body ends. New memories from this life do not carry on, but memories already stored in GENOM are not erased.
Thrown away
The same applies as with rotting. This life and its new memories do not continue, while memories already stored in GENOM remain.

Remaking the same recipe alone does not create the same character. The Character ID, Individual ID (I), and GENOM memory link must all continue together. The Life Log and the stories you remember can remain separately from this link.
